Power of the Written Word Class (9-12 year olds)
Five Classes @ $15.00/each class
Each class will be 1 hour in length
Class size is limited to 10 children
My seminar/class will take children on a journey to finding the writer within. In the time frame of the five classes, students will discover what makes them special in this world. Each student will select three words that best relate to them; and from those words we will create a super hero that embodies those three characteristics.
The classes will offer students encouragement to use their imagination of how they envision their lives to be, and how they can empower themselves to live those lives. This will determine the overall look and mission for their superhero persona.
All materials will be provided for the class and at the end of the program, kids will take home a book about themselves and all the powers that they possess as a Super Hero!

My Journey to Hospice of the Valley
I am now volunteering for this most wonderful organization and want to share the importance of service to others. It's the greatest gift that you will give to yourself.
*Hospice care provides a team of health care professionals to serve people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Most patients are cared for in their own homes. The hospice team supports the patient's primary caregiver - a family member or friend - offering a compassionate presence during this meaningful time.
Team members work together to meet the medical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families.

A few words directly from my heart:
~ ~ ~
All of life is reflected in their eyes...
in the manner that they speak
of the years that have passed.
There is something so holy
about sitting at their feet and massaging
away the loneliness of memories erased
by age or disease or pain.
And yet, they know you for that moment
that you have held space for them, and they smile
or say thank you, or graciously fall asleep as you bestow
a gift of pampering upon both body and soul.
It is by far the greatest gift that
I have ever given to myself...
this gift of service to another.
My life has never meant more to me.
I thank all of you who have shared my space.

A BIG thank you to everyone at Bright Beginnings School in Chandler. I had the most amazing time with all of the students during a mini reading of my book. I talked about all of us having a writer within and embracing that part of us.
Words are so powerful, and thus, I want to especially thank all of the students who took the time to write me notes of thanks & encouragement. You all inspired me to keep writing my truth. I encourage you to do the same. You are all magnificent gifted writers and I am honored to have been in your presence.
A special shout out to Principal Edris, Frankie and all the excellent teachers. Your students were articulate, interesting and knowledgeable. That is such a tribute to you, who are the teachers of a world full of endless possibilities, for all blessed enough to be in your classrooms.
Thank you for visiting my
Book Signing in January!
